Waiting time: 15 min in the marshrutka
We started off from our familiar guesthouse, with a regular morning of soft hangover from the local wine – we had left our bags there before conquering the Caucasus mountains.
As it was raining again and we had learned our lessons from Bosnia about hitchhiking in conditions when you might drown on the roadside, we decided to take the inexpensive marshrutka (10 gel) to Tbilisi.
There is not much to say about these marshrutkas, they are cheap and good way for getting around. If in Georgia, use them.
Takeaway: If you are staying in a guest house and are offered a food package, accept it. You will be fed very well for very little money.
